LOS ANGELES – Five sassy housewives from Atlanta will be the next group on the Bravo cable channel series “The Real Housewives of …”
The lives of the five women will be revealed when “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” debuts at 9 p.m. EDT Tuesday on the cable channel.

The housewives include:
- DeShawn Snow: She and her husband Eric, captain of the Cleveland Cavaliers, recently moved to the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Ga.
- Kim Zolciak: The mother of two lives in an exclusive gated townhouse community in Duluth, Ga. She is currently recording an album.
- Lisa Wu Hartwell: The businesswoman lives in luxurious country club community in Duluth, Ga. She owns her own real estate firm.
- NeNe Leakes: The mother of two is an active member of Atlanta society. She resides in the upscale Sugarloaf area of Atlanta.
- Sheree Whitfield: The single socialite lives in the exclusive Sandy Springs area of Atlanta. She is the mother to three children.
The Bravo series has looked at housewives in New York and Orange County. These latest housewives explain how they will be different from previous shows.
“I think Atlanta, the city itself, is very different from New York and California. It’s a diverse culture. It’s so much going on there. It’s thriving in music production,” Snow says while talking to TV critics in July in Los Angeles.
Leakes adds, “Atlanta is the ’Black Hollywood.’ We have CEOs, athletes, executives, and a lot of powerful people there.”
To Hartwell the difference is that the Atlanta housewives have the Southern hospitality thing going for them.
“I’m from Los Angeles, and, we’re laid-back. We’re like, ’Dude.’ We’re slower,” Hartwell says. “New York is a little bit high-pace. So Atlanta is somewhere in-between.”
Most of the time the housewives didn’t mind the cameras following them morning, noon or night. But Zolciak jokes, “My kids drove me nuts. I wanted to beat them a couple times. I was like ’the camera’s there. I can’t do it. Can’t beat them right now, the camera’s here. Wait till it’s over. Oh, wait till the cameras are gone. You’re getting it.’ I just give them that look.”
