The first Season of Big Brother Isreal (Ha’Ach Ha’Gadol) was launched Monday 1st September, 2008, with sixteen Housemates entering upon launch. The Housemates include a set on non-identical twin brothers and a father and daughter.
The Housemates
- Asher Simoni – twenty-nine year old man from Tiberias.
- Boris Shnaiderovsky – A twenty-two year old man from Raanana. His non-identical twin brother Leon is also in the House.
- Einav Bublil – A twenty-three year old woman from Ashkelon. Her father Yossi entered the House as the sixteenth Housemate, to Einav’s surprise.
- Eran Zilberman – A twenty-six year old man from Tel Aviv. He describes himself as very homophobic and racist, but thinks girls will fall in love with him.
- Itay Ziv – A twenty-eight year old man from Tel Aviv.
- Jenny Tukrev – A twenty-three year-old woman from Tel Aviv.
- Keren Chasiss – A twenty-four year old woman from Tel Aviv and Herzliya.
- Leon Shnaiderovsky – A twenty-two year old gay man from Raanana. His non-identical twin brother Boris is also in the House.
- Miki Levin – A thirty-one year old woman from Ramat HaSharon.
- Naama Fridman – A thirty-four year old woman from Liman.
- Ranin Boulus – A twenty-three year old woman from Neve Shalom.
- Shay Shitrit – A twenty-five year old man from Tel Aviv.
- Shifra Korenfeld – A twenty-seven year old woman from Jerusalem.
- Tsabar Gadish – A twenty-seven year old man from Binyamina.
- Venessa Alush – A twenty-seven year old woman from Bitan Aharon.
- Yossi Bublil – A fifty-four year old man from Ashkelon. His daughter, Einav (עינב בובליל) is also in the House.

I have been watching the show since the beginning, and this is the first time I really enjoy a reality show, because the characters give one the idea of how to get along (or not), under closed conditions.
However last night, I was so disgusted that Shachar was still on. His behavior is sick, rude, loud and an embarrassmentg. When I saw that the entire group was helping Einav during her sickness, and he sat there eating, no stuffing his huge body again, with a big kitchen knife, as if he took special joy in the happenings around him, he deserved not to be voted out, but thrown out. Shifra and Ranin seem two very fine and educated women, whose example the others don’t appreciate. They should make it to the end of the show, as well as Leon, whose behavior is always correct. Itai is a very nice and fine person, who took over for Einav’s medical needs, while her father continued to behave like a gorilla, as always. He didn’t seem to care, just grumble, complain and distribute his own stupid philosophies, to anyone who would listen.
I still have hopes for Shifra, Ranin, Leon and Itai, because they will play the game fairly, the others should go home.
